Although a child of the Midwest, Michael settled in Denver, CO where he completed law school and began practicing as an attorney in Colorado. Michael worked with the State of the Colorado to revamp its incentive for media production and, in 2012, was successful in passing new legislation making it relevant for the first time in two decades. This incentive has been responsible for bringing in numerous commercials and features, including Dear Eleanor and An American Terror.

In 2011, Michael was cast in his feature debut, The Aviation Cocktail, and received local success and favorable critical reception. Shot in Nebraska, Michael met with local government and community leaders to discuss the impact of media incentives and challenges governments face. Nebraska leaders used these conversations, data points from the filming, and testimony from Alexander Payne to successfully pass a media production incentive.

In 2013, after numerous commercials, short films and another feature, Michael began to explore more opportunities in regional markets and has been up for roles with NBC, A&E, USA, and was recently cast in ABC's Killer Women.
